Arroyn Lloyd plays Jane, the troubled teen who has been bounced in and out of foster homes her entire life, and is therefore reluctant to let herself become a part of the Blake family. Lloyd, like her character, is a strong-willed and free-spirited person who also grew up in an unconventional home.
Arroyn (pronounced "ero-win") credits her mother, who is an artist, for coming up with her unique name, which is derived from a combination of two classic characters from the novel "Lord of the Rings," Lady Arwen and Lady Eowyn. Although born in Mallorca, Spain, Lloyd grew up in Laguna Beach, California, and split her time between sailing at the beach and performing in local live theatre at the Laguna Moulton Playhouse, where she started at age nine. She has also traveled extensively through Asia, visiting India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand and Hong Kong.
Back at home, Lloyd's on-screen credits include a guest appearance on "Home Improvement" and a role in director Zalman King's feature film, "Caged Bird." She also enjoys dance, snowboarding, hiking and hanging out with her brothers, Strider and Dusty. Her birthday is March 12.
