Scott Whyte plays Chris Anderson, a kid from a rich Park Avenue family who fits in with his friends at Manhattan High because of his fun-loving and energetic personality. His friends think Chris' life is perfect because his family is so wealthy, but they soon realize that he too faces many of the same obstacles that touch all adolescents.
Much like the character he plays on "City Guys," the real-life Scott Whyte is a down-to-earth young guy who loves being outdoors and playing his guitar. Best known for his roles in the Disney pictures "D2: The Mighty Ducks" and "D3: The Mighty Ducks," Whyte made his film debut in the Mel Gibson/Kurt Russell feature "Tequila Sunrise." At age ten, after watching "Raiders of the Lost Ark," Whyte figured he could become the next Indiana Jones. But after breaking his wrist swinging from a tree, he set his sights on the goal of becoming an actor, so that he "could do all those fun things and not get hurt." He landed his first part at the age of 13, appearing in a commercial for Pop Tarts, and later appeared in the television series "The Nanny," "Full House," "Locals" and TNBC's "Hang Time."
Born and raised in Manhattan Beach, California, Whyte loves all sports and hanging out at the beach, where he still lives. However, he has recently started focusing more of his free time on writing and performing music with his band, Say Hello to Jimmy. His birthday is January 8.
