Miguel watches the hospital, determined to stop Fox from cheating his treatment, unaware Julian's bribed nurse may have accidentally mixed up the real medication and the placebo. Fox begins treatment and feels genuinely ill, possibly from the real drug. Julian distracts Eve with news about their lost son, while Whitney helps Theresa and Chad remains trapped in Vincent's pressure. Theresa, blackmailed into marrying Jared, despairs over losing Ethan. Elsewhere, Luis hides in a Crane apartment and later escapes police again after being recognized at a hardware store.
