Chris tries pulling Sheridan closer, sensing her mind is still on Luis, and she responds by deciding to keep Chris close so he will not suspect how tangled her feelings still are. Luis worries the DA may reject the hypnosis evidence that could help clear him because it was unauthorized and taints Fancy's testimony. Sam warns Fancy that Luis could face life in prison if the evidence falls apart. Theresa, under pressure from the blackmailer, abruptly tells Ethan she will marry Jared, stunning him. The lie devastates Ethan even as Theresa is clearly terrified.
