At first, Chad caught the eye of Whitney's younger sister Simone, who started to believe that they were a couple. Chad and Whitney then moved to Los Angeles, causing a large rift between Whitney and the rest of her family.

After returning to Harmony and rekindling his relationship with Whitney, Chad was devastated to learn that he was Eve and Julian's long-lost son, making Whitney his half-sister.
