Little Ethan accidentally calls Gertrude his mother again, raising Gwen’s suspicions and forcing Pilar to cover quickly. Ethan notices Gertrude’s wig slipping and becomes increasingly curious about her, though he still defends her and opposes Gwen’s demands that she be fired or that Little Ethan be sent away. Later, Ethan kisses the sleeping Gertrude, overwhelmed by how much she reminds him of Theresa. Meanwhile, Sam arrests Julian over Alistair’s shooting, and Juanita tortures Carmelita while continuing to hunt Pilar.
