Fox continues manipulating Kay by pretending he is terminally ill, and although Miguel urges her to be honest, Kay chooses to stay with Fox out of pity and guilt. In the cave, Luis attempts to rescue Fancy, but the rope slips and he jumps after her without a harness. He survives the fall, comforts the injured Fancy, and tells her he loves her. At the bed and breakfast, Theresa brings J.T. to expose Gwen, but Rebecca blocks her path, and Ethan warns Gwen that only proof of Theresa's claims could ever separate them.
