NBC Sports Freelance Technician

The NBC Sports operations Web site is designed to display the NBC sports air schedule to the general public up to four months in advance. The Web site also provides an opportunity for qualified technicians to indicate their availability to work for NBC Sports.

The NBC Sports/Olympics air schedule provides an opportunity for technicians with a minimum of 3 years experience working televised sporting events, for either a network or major cable station, to indicate their availability to work an event.

The schedule indicates air days, but in most cases setup days are required. Additionally, some events listed are taped; the taped dates will be listed on the schedule. The dates of availability should coincide with the dates as scheduled for the event. Any event designated with an asterisk (*) will not be crewed by NBC and therefore you need not indicate your availability.

What We Require

Technician applying for a NBC Sports/Olympics event should have a minimum of 3-year experience working televised sporting events for either a network or major cable station.

How to Apply

After logging on to the sports event website at http://sportsevents.nbc.com, click on: "Professional technicians! interested in working NBC Sports." Then create an account by filling out a technician profile. Once the profile is complete you can return to the schedule as a member and apply for events.

NBC makes no commitment whatsoever that those technicians who have indicated their availability for an event will be hired. No phone calls please. We will call you if your services can be used.

NBC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
