Esme panics when Jake collapses and appears to have no pulse, fearing the curse surrounding her lovers has struck again. Meanwhile, Sheridan slaps Luis and blames him and Fancy for losing Marty, while Luis grows terrified that Fancy is in danger after finding her purse. At the hospital, Ethan worries about Jonathan, but Gwen refuses outside medical help and resents Theresa's presence near her family. Pilar warns Theresa to stay away from Ethan because a threat even deadlier than Alistair could fall on the family if the truth comes out. Theresa feels torn but is still determined to fight for Ethan.
