Spike is arrested and interrogated about Jessica, but he refuses to say where she is buried, and the search party remains agonizingly close without hearing her cries. Tabitha insists Kay must break her pact with the demon elf, warning it will bring disaster, but Kay hesitates because she needs the elf to find Jessica. Ethan encourages Whitney to give Chad another chance, but she refuses. Theresa and Ethan share a kiss, only to be interrupted by Gwen's sudden return. Meanwhile, Fancy tells Luis the blackmailer escaped after killing the DNA doctor, and Luis still clings to hope.
