Noah proposes to Paloma with his grandmother's ring, overwhelming her, though she worries it is selfish to feel joy amid so much suffering. Whitney confesses to Theresa that Chad's betrayal has left her feeling inadequate and unwilling ever to trust another man again. Chad keeps insisting he is not gay, even while covertly checking out another man at a bar. Meanwhile, Fancy and Sheridan break into Eve's office to run the blackmailer's DNA sample, unaware that the blackmailer, disguised as a hospital janitor, is already closing in on them.
