After seeing the scratches on Martin's back, Pilar assumes he slept with Katherine and angrily confronts him before storming off. Katherine believes this finally frees her and Martin to be together, but Martin explodes at her for lying and driving Pilar away. At the mansion, Ethan lovingly feeds Jane while Theresa secretly aches nearby and whispers to the baby that she is her true mother. Pilar briefly agrees to continue the ceremony after Father Lonigan urges her to reconsider, only to then catch Katherine kissing Martin.
