Theresa stops the jet from departing by arriving with Julian and Alistair's lawyer, who presents a DVD revealing that Alistair named Theresa temporary head of the Crane empire while incapacitated. Gwen and Ethan are stunned as Theresa uses her new authority to block Jane's move to India. Meanwhile, Fox's romantic evening with Kay is repeatedly sabotaged by Tabitha, who is desperate to stop a proposal before the planets align. In Hawaii, Chris and Sheridan are thwarted at the hall of records while Otto plots to burn the files.
