Now entering its third season on NBC's Saturday morning lineup, "One World" is a half-hour comedy series about the joys and the challenges of belonging to a unique family. "One World" focuses on the Blakes, a household with six teens of various ethnic and racial backgrounds, who are adopted by ex-baseball player Dave Blake and his artist wife, Karen. With everyone living under the same roof, these very different teens find out that they are just like "normal" families - they borrow their siblings clothes, fight over the remote control and elbow for mirror space. But more importantly, they've all found a place to call home.
Former center fielder Dave Blake (Michael Toland) and his sculptor wife Karen (Elizabeth Morehead) never wanted a so-called traditional family. An orphan himself, Dave always wanted to provide a home for kids who never had one. Little did he or Karen realize that they'd be overseeing a brood resembling a mini-United Nations in Miami. They include Ben (Bryan Kirkwood), a gifted, but self-absorbed musician who performs weekly at a local club to the delight of his adoring female audience. Jane (Arroyn Lloyd), who is often the source of conflict in the Blake household, as the street-smart and caustic teen who is slowly learning to open herself up to the love and support in her new home. Sui (Michelle Krusiec) is an athletic, beautiful and always super positive girl, who is just as comfortable shopping at the mall as she is battling on the soccer field. Marci (Alisa Reyes) is the entrepreneur of the group. A devout capitalist, she embraces everything American and is determined to live out her own "rags to riches" dream. Neal (Harvey Silver) balances his natural genius with street sensibility. The most introspective of the teens, he always offers insight into difficult situations, though his siblings almost never listen. Cray (Brandon Baker) who is of a mixed heritage that no one has yet figured out, is the teen searching for an identity. The youngest of the clan, Cray dons new personalities in an effort to distinguish himself in the family.
"One World" was created by Robert Tarlow and is produced by Peter Engel Productions in association with NBC Enterprises. Peter Engel serves as executive producer.
