DETECTIVES INVESTIGATE MURDER AFTER FAMOUS DOCTOR’S DEATH REVEALS DANGEROUS RESEARCH -- Robert (Vincent D'Onofrio) and Alex (Kathryn Erbe) investigate when a renowned epidemiologist is found murdered in his apartment. The victim had been researching a possible disease outbreak and recently argued with colleague Martin (guest star Dylan Baker) over the findings. The detectives learn Martin feared the research would expose misconduct in a pharmaceutical study. Captain James (Jamey Sheridan) authorizes further investigation as Robert pressures Martin during interrogation. Evidence reveals Martin killed the doctor to prevent the publication of results that would destroy his career. Prosecutor Ron (Courtney B. Vance) prepares the case. TV14
